Idea Academy: a free online school for young readers and writers

Idea Academy is United By Creativity’s free online school for children in Pre-K through 5th grade. Kids learn to read through systematic phonics and phonemic awareness, build writing skills through storytelling, and publish their own books in the Global Library. Lessons are aligned with Missouri Learning Standards and work for families at home, classrooms, libraries, and after-school programs.

Every student joins one of four Houses (Wonder, Heart, Courage, or Root), can join the Student Council, and earns tokens toward books. Free for every child. A program of United By Creativity, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit in Kansas City, Missouri.
